Investigation of the corrosion resistance of welded joints in iron–nickel alloys

Abstract

Results of investigations into the effect of chromium, which determines corrosion resistance, and its content in specimens of deposited metal on EK77 alloy varies in the range 21.1–20.8%, are presented. The optimum ratio of the alloying elements chromium, copper, manganese and silicon is determined. Data for the corrosion resistance represent important information for the modernization of welding electrodes.
