Determination of the parameters of coupling welding at low temperatures

Abstract

The results of determination of the welding parameters of PE 100 GAX SDR 11 63 × 5.8 polyethylene pipes using couplings with inserted heaters at a temperature of the surrounding air lower than the standard temperature are presented. It is shown that coupling welding with the calculated parameters ensures the same dynamics of the temperature field in the welded joint as in the case of acceptable temperatures of the surrounding air.
