A method for evaluating the reliability of welded joints on the basis of statistical processing of radiographic inspection results

Abstract

The mechanical properties, radiographic and metallographic analyses of the structure of welded joints produced by argon-shielded arc welding after repair by resistance spot welding are compared. It is shown that the suitability for repair improves if the method of argon-shielded arc welding of defects is replaced by resistance spot welding.
