Stability of pulsed-arc consumable electrode welding

Abstract

Experiments were carried out to determine the conditions of the stability of the processes of pulsed-arc consumable electrode welding without short-circuiting the arcing gap for rectangular pulses. The experimentally determined conditions of the relative constancy of average or effective current are used to determine the conditions for the stability of the processes of pulsed-arc consumable electrode welding for rectangular pulses in welding in argon and argon-containing mixtures.
