Abstract
The problems of the technology of friction stir welding (FSW) of new high-strength aluminium–titanium alloys V-1461 and V-1469 are discussed. The technical and economical advantages of the process are shown, the parameters are determined and the optimum FSW conditions resulting in high mechanical properties of the welded joint are proposed.
