Processes of formation and physical--chemical properties of welding fumes

Abstract

Literature data (65 literature sources) are used to examine the processes of formation of the solid constituent of welding fumes (SCWF) and describe the factors influencing mass and chemical and phase composition, and the dimensions and shape of their particles. Experimental information is used to show the conditions in which the SCWF decreases and the particles of the SCWF contain a smaller number of components belonging in the class of the most toxic contaminants.
