Abstract:
Experiments were carried out using the grid method to investigate the shear plastic deformation in brazed lap joints in St3 low-carbon steel. The results show that the distribution of plastic strains in the brazed joint depends on the length of the lap. The resultant distribution of plastic deformation is observed in brazed joints with a thickness of 0.8 + 0.8 mm; 4 + 4 mm and 0.8 + 4 mm.
Keywords: low-carbon steel, soldered overlap joint, tin solder, grid method, shear deformation in seam, distribution of plastic deformation, concept of plastic deformation
