Underwater wet FCA-welding of high-strength steel X70 through the use of flux-cored electrode

ABSTRACT

The research results of underwater wet FCA-welding of samples from high-strength steel based on the use of fluoric flux-cored electrode with metallurgical activity in the aquatic environment are adduced. The best results were achieved in underwater welding with fluoric flux-cored electrode with a TiO2-CaF2 charge system. A favourable structure and mechanical properties of the welding joint are ensured.
