ABSTRACT

The influence of thermal laser welding on the cooling rate of the metal of the zone of thermal influence (HAZ) of the root, first filling and facing seams is investigated. A study of extent of HAZ in the imposition of various joints and parts of them (area of overheating, area normalization, the area of incomplete recrystallization). Also, the microstructure of the weld metal (seam and HAZ) and mechanical properties (toughness and hardness) were investigated. The assessment of their compliance with the requirements of regulatory documents.
