The formation optimization of the gas-powder flow during laser deposition

, &

ABSTRACT

The article is devoted to the formation investigation of a gas-powder flow through the use of two chambers and three chamber nozzles for laser deposition. Questions on the formation of a deposited layer with scanning of laser radiation are considered. The use of a three-chamber nozzle made it possible to obtain in one pass a deposited layer 10 mm wide and 3.2 mm high. The results of experiments on changing the flow rate of the transport gas, the distance from the nozzle cut to the melting zone, the consumption of the filler powder and the processing speed are given. Optimum parameters of the gas-powder laser treatment process for receiving the specified characteristics of the deposited layers are obtained.
