Features of obtaining diamond-like coatings by pulsed laser deposition

Abstract

Diamond-like carbon coatings are used for surface hardening, reducing friction coefficient, biological passivation, and reducing sublimation in cosmic environments. Current work describes technological peculiarities of diamond-like films growth obtained with pulsed laser deposition method and their influence on the morphology and sp²/sp³ carbon phase ratio.
