Summary
TIG welding of two different duplex stainless steels is studied. An arc was discharged on base metal plates using the TIG technique without filler material and with varying energy conditions (ENA). A comparative study was made of both microstructural evolution and mechanical properties. The relationship between hardness profiles, microstructural variations and the δ-ferrite concentration is established. In addition, the above properties are related to the ENA for each welded joint.
