Statement of Retraction

We, the Authors, Editors and Publisher of the journal Counselling Psychology Quarterly, have retracted the following article:

Pinto-Coelho, K., Hill, C. E., & Kivlighan, D. (2016). Therapist self-disclosures in a psychodynamic clinic: A mixed-methods investigation. Counselling Psychology Quarterly, 29(1), 29-52. https://doi.org/10.1080/09515070.2015.1072496

Since publication, concerns have been raised about the integrity of some of the data, with regards to patient privacy and informed consent. When approached for an explanation, the authors concurred and have agreed to the retraction of this article. The authors apologize for this oversight.

We have been informed in our decision-making by our policy on publishing ethics and integrity and the COPE guidelines on retractions.

The retracted article will remain online to maintain the scholarly record, but it will be digitally watermarked on each page as ‘Retracted’
