As the new editors-in-chief of Educational Media International, we continue to feel gratitude for the work that the preceding editor-in-chief, Professor Charalambos “Pambos” Vrasidas, completed as part of his 15 years of service to the journal. The manuscripts in this publication, Volume 61, Issues 1 and 2, feature curated selections from the 2022 annual conference of the International Council for Educational Media (ICEM) in Santarem, Portugal. We thank Professor Vrasidas for fostering this collaboration with the special issue team. Additionally, we appreciate the leadership and service of the guest editors who oversaw this special issue: Professors Ze Louirero, Ana Louriero, and Mart Lanpaare.
