Abstract

La palabra neurosis fue introducida en medicina por Cullen en el siglo XVIII para designar un grupo de enfermedades nerviosas sin causa orgánica. Desde entonces el concepto de neurosis ha sido variado y, por otro lado, muchas enfermedades clasificadas como neurosis han pasado a ser, con el descubrimiento de su etiología, entidades nosológicas propias.
