Abstract
‘For the first time in the 21 years of the history of ICEM we have ventured to hold our general meeting outside Europe and we have come to Canada in large numbers for this world conference. We have come with great expectations since many of the developments in audio-visual education originated in Canada and the United States, and these have been adopted in Europe and elsewhere. Above all, many films from the National Film Board of Canada have reached us and been examples for our own productions. They have given us ideas and suggestions and made a deep impression on us.
