Abstract
First introduced by Kodak in 1972, the 110 system offered the home snap-shot taker a simple instant-loading camera which could be slipped into the pocket. The number by which the system has become known, 110, is the code number for the type of film used. The 110 system has almost taken over the home snap-shot market from larger 126 type Instamatic cameras which were so popular in the 1960s. Many people are suggesting that the 110 system is making inroads into the 35 mm market as more complex cameras for the new system are being introduced.
