Abstract
One of ICEM'S most important aims is the exchange of films between the member countries, and the promotion of mutual understanding thus achieved. The pedagogues reach a decision concerning the takeover and re-editing of films through criteria regarding both the contents and the didactic structure thereof. Certain technical conditions must be fulfilled to enable this exchange, a fact which is often overlooked. Showing the individual stages of a film production, this contribution attempts to make clear where technical factors influence the exchangeability of films, and how through appropriate decisions in the region of film technique, the exchange on an international level can be promoted.
