Microcomputers in the Israeli Educational System

Pages 4-8 | Published online: 15 Apr 2008

Abstract

One of the targets for the educational establishment in Israel in the 80's is the adaptation of the educational system to the world of computerised technology. The rationale for the computerisation of the system derives from the need to prepare today's generation of children to live in the era of computer technology; from the desire to take advantage of this technology to improve the learning process and the management of the school; from the need to integrate education into the general movement towards the computerisation of our economy and industry.
