Abstract
The Pedagogic Centers are a network of 38 regional and local resource centers aimed at aiding the members of the educational community to perform their tasks more efficiently. They were founded in the early fifties in order to reduce the acute isolation of the classroom teacher in his or her struggle with the immense problems created by the mass immigration of that period. The few Centers existing at that time tried to collect the educational experience (in print or by way of teaching aids and models) and bring it within the reach of the teachers in an organised form.
