Abstract
In the 1981, No 2 issue of Educational Media International there were a number of articles which were concerned with the international distribution of various forms of media. Vinke discussed the problems of media institutes regarding the distribution of videotapes while Jongbloed discussed the problems which face media institutes around the world with regard to distribution of mediated programmes. The problems of video systems which Greetfeld and others discussed are well known and as Greetfeld points out, although the domestic market is the dominant factor in the development of audio visual equipment (at least in Germany), the professional needs of schools and other organisations should be of primary concern to professionals in the area of educational media and technology.
