The present world is saturated by the new communications technology which can catch us off guard. The schools have been left behind by all these advances that are already present in homes, offices, factories and stores. We can be fascinated by all the new gadgets like microcomputers, satellites, and videodiscs, but it is important to note how they all depend on, or can be complemented or substituted by, a relatively old technology — the telephone.
