&
Pages 97-99 | Published online: 03 Aug 2006

Abstract

This paper will discuss a telecommunications project that is designed to link homebound students with their schools in North York, Ontario, Canada. Due to a wide range of medical conditions, the students in the project are unable to attend school regularly. The project uses computer technology and telecommunications software allowing students to interact with their teachers and other students at their schools, thus providing an opportunity for instructional and social enrichment. The structure and the operation of this network is also discussed.
