Introducing Media Education into Sub‐Saharan Africa

Abstract

Although at first sight this article may not appear to be precisely connected to the theme of this issue, it gives a very clear indication of the problems which must be faced before media education can be embarked upon in the Sub‐Saharan countries. The article looks at the lack of media education in this area, the need for it, the problems involved in providing it and the policy options for establishing it.
