Abstract
In this paper, an outline is given of a project on bilingual Frisian‐Dutch word processing in primary schools. Jehannes Ytsma and Durk Gorter, both researchers in the sociology of language at the Fryske Akademy, present a brief description of an ongoing experiment, where the word processor is effectively used to teach writing skills in Frisian, the only indigenous minority language in the Netherlands. They also highlight some research possibilities which the project offers.
