Abstract
The article looks at the effects of international events on educational broadcasting and the consequent need for co‐productions. The financial advantages are sometimes hidden behind more lofty aims, but they are real. Co‐production involving small language countries poses extra problems, and the article raises ethical and practical questions that have to be considered.
