Abstract
Among this Government's attempts to sell off parts of the public sector, the privatising of the National Freight Company stands out. For the first time, at least in this country, employees have been given an opportunity to become part‐owners of the State company they work for. How was this achieved? What are the chances of success? And what were the motives of the workforce?
