Abstract
In our last issue, Howard Elcock discussed the lack of accountability of ‘quasi‐professionals’ in local government. In nursing and the social services in particular, these quasi‐professions are spawning offspring at a great rate. Is this narrow concept of professionalism really in the best interests of the ‘professionals’ themselves, let alone their clients?
