SUMMARY
This paper sets out to demonstrate that it is possible to achieve consistency of description for the characteristics of bought-in components used by the system designer. The analysis of a new suggested thermal system is described, and some of the notions utilized to construct such a system are explained. The paper concludes by showing the extent to which analogies can be taken between engineering systems to define and/or redefine the required design characteristics.
