The System of Controlling Students’ Individual Study ‐Principles and Experiences

SUMMARY

In this paper, first the elements of the individualized teaching method, the so called ‘System of Controlling Students’ Individual Study’, are briefly described and discussed. The next part deals with the application of these elements into the subject fundamentals of quantum mechanics at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Slovak Technical University in Bratislava, Slovakia. The third part describes the modification of the elements of the System for university physics teacher training in the subject ‘The special practical exercises of school experiments in physics’ at The Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, The Comenius University in Bratislava. The results of the pedagogical experiments where the elements of the System were used are also discussed.
