Abstract
Noting resonances with his own work, in this conversation with Andrea Levy, Blake Morrison places her writing at the heart of contemporary popular culture and explores the historical trajectory and influences upon her development—not only as a novelist but also as a fictionalising archivist of experiences that have been traditionally sidelined in Britain's national stories.
