Abstract
Catholics for a Free Choice (CFFC) in Latin America write: 'We are working to unravel the historical truth of a Roman Catholic Church hierarchy trapped in its past hatred of women and thus unable to acknowledge women's capacity to make good decisions about when and whether to bear children. Nowhere is this distrust more evident than in the church's approach to abortion.'
