Abstract

The degre of hydrolysis of MgO and its dependence on the hydrolitic process temperature, as well as on the tempering temperature are established. It is shown that even if tempered at about 1500°C MgO is not an inert material. Under the impact of some external factors‐temperature (40°C to 120°C) and water‐it hydrolyzes in different degree. It should be borne in mind that accidents are possible to occur with transport vehicle which are in contact with magnesium clinker and water.
