Abstract

The teaching on alcohol and drug topics in the University of Western Australia's medical course is described. Emphasis is placed on the relative lack of coordination of this teaching at present, but coordinated topic teaching is to be introduced which should facilitate a multidisciplinary approach to alcohol and drug problems.
