Abstract
This paper reviews the approach taken in the “Drug Offensive”, the media and public information programs of Australia's National Campaign Against Drug Abuse, from April 1986 to September 1988. A description of the campaign's progress during this period is provided, and early findings from the various monitoring and evaluation studies undertaken in the course of the campaign are reported on.
