Adapting buildings to a changing climate: but what about the occupants?

Pages 78-81 | Published online: 08 Feb 2011

Notes

1. This was the approach adopted in a very similar climate impacts investigation into a commercial office building in Sydney Australia, under a 2*CO2 climate scenario (Sheppard, et al., Citation1997). The building was modelled by using a popular dynamic thermal simulation software (ESPII) and then exposed to a future climatic scenario (TRY) that had been extracted at three-hourly time steps directly from the Australian Bureau of Meteorology Research Centre's coupled atmosphere–ocean general circulation model.
