Douglas Weeks
Douglas Weeks is a visiting research fellow at the John Grieve Policing Centre, London Metropolitan University. He is an ethnographic researcher who specialises in radicalisation, deradicalisation, counterterrorism policing and counterterrorism policy. He has done work across the Middle East but now focuses on the UK.
Basia Spalek
Basia Spalek is professor in conflict transformation at the University of Derby. She is a psychotherapist, working with offenders and with trauma survivors, and has also done a lot of research on ‘radicalisation’ and community-based approaches to counterterrorism. She is the author of Terror Crime Prevention with Communities (Bloomsbury, 2013), in which she discusses police and community engagement and partnership work.
