Ermira Danaj

Ermira Danaj holds a PhD in human social sciences from the University of Neuchatel, Switzerland. Currently, she is a visiting researcher at the CIES (Centre for Research and Studies in Sociology), ISCTE- Instituto Universitário de Lisboa in Lisbon, Portugal. Since 2002, she has worked on various projects and published several research reports, articles and other contributions mainly about gender issues in Albania. She has taught courses in Gender Studies, Sociology, Political Sociology since 2006 and worked as a lecturer of Feminist Theories at the European University of Tirana during 2009-2012. In Spring 2013, she was a Fulbright visiting scholar in gender and sociology at The New School, New York. She is an invited lecturer in the intensive program “Empowering Women in the 21st Century” organized by the University ISCTE-IUL since 2016.
