Abstract

Nazifi Habibabadi, S., Rezakhani, A. and Malekian M.R. 1996. Activity of urinary enzymes in crossbred holstein cattle. J. Appl. Anim. Res., 10: 167–171.

In order to use these as indices for diagnosing renal problems, activities of urinary AST, ALT, ALP, LD and GGT enzymes were determined in 50 healthy female crossbred Holstein cattle (Holstein? Iranian native cattle) of four age groups ie <6, 6–18, 19–60 and<60 months. Age had no significant effect on any of these parameters. However, significant correlation was observed between specific gravity and pH of urine and in the activity of some of the enzymes.
