Abstract
The article aims at improving the techniques used for assessing the discharge of a hydropower plant by means of discharge measurements using current meters located on a mobile frame. The mobile frame can modify the angle between the current meter axis and the local velocity vector, thus reducing the discharge calculation error and improving assessing accuracy. The improvement in the discharge measuring accuracy also increases the accurate determination of the optimum operating range and the maximum efficiency of the hydropower plant units.
