Abstract
The researchers researched Al-Farabi’s political philosophy and identified the feartures, which can helpin creating the project of a welfare state. Due to the prevailing global political processes of modern situation, Al-Farabi’s ideas are particularly in demand. The thinker created a state model, ‘a virtuous city’, the principles of whichcould help in the development of projects for the stabilization of the political situation in unstable regions andsettlement of social and religious conflicts. Morality played a key role in Al-Farabi’s political philosophy. Al-Farabidevotes a significant feature to the virtues that make up civic culture and that are based on high intellect and highmorality. According to Al-Farabi, intellect and virtuous moral can help build social and socio-humanitarian state.
