Abstract

The trend of globalization has become the primary development of higher education institutions. The fad of international exchanges drives various countries’ emphases on and participation in the flow of talent cultivation which is especially significant in higher education. Regardless of the internal shortage of student number in Taiwan or the external openness of globalization, the internationalization and globalization of higher education is inevitable. The China market, with close geographic location and similar language and culture, is the place for Taiwanese teachers developing the competence. With Push-Pull Theory and AHP, 32 Taiwanese teachers teaching in Fujian Province, China, are surveyed to analyze the factors in teaching in China as well as the weights and orders of such factors. The research results could provide universities with references for planning Taiwanese teacher recruitment strategies.
