Blood flow through arteries in presence of transverse magnetics field

Abstract

The aim of the study of this paper is the application of magneto hydrodynamics in physiological problems to develop a mathematical model for the study of blood flow in the presence of magnetic effect through stenosis arterial segment. Herschel-Bulkley equation has been taken to the non-Newtonian character of blood flow in the presence of applied magnetics effect. The mathematical model is analyzed through graphically and numerically. As blood is an electrically conducting the magneto hydrodynamic principle may be used to decelerate the flowing blood in a human arterial system and treatment of certain cardiovascular disease.
