Mathematical modeling and stability analysis of a SI type model for HIV/AIDS

&

Abstract

Mathematical models plays significant role in the field of epidemiology, and are effective tools to improve our knowledge and understanding about the dynamics of epidemic diseases. The HIV epidemic is continuously taking the world’s attention towards itself by increasing death rate and economic burdens. Alongside inventions in vaccine development and diagnosing approach is giving novel tools for treatment. In the present work an attempt has been made to frame a simple Susceptible-Infected (i.e.SI) type mathematical model for HIV/AIDS by taking the assumption that transition of AIDS infected individual into HIV infected class is possible, to know the disease dynamics and to make strategies for the reduction or control the disease transmission among peoples.
