Pandemic in India: Special reference to Covid-19 and its technological aspect

Abstract

News broke from Wuhan, China in December 2019 about a lethal infection later recognized as novel coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). This epidemic was announced as pandemic in 11 March, 2020 by World Health Organisation (WHO) and Indian health Ministry notified it as ‘Covid-19: A disaster’ in March 14, 2020. The corona virus outbreak seems to have emerged without warning. The world is in the early stages of what may be the deadliest pandemic of the century. Thousands of people have already died in China and the same scenario is witnessed in the European and other counties like Italy, Spain, USA, France, Germany, India etc. which later pushed these countries into darkness of various questions about human existence.The technology has to pay an important role in the current scenario of pandemic for containing the spread of pandemics. The present review article is based on the discussion of various past pandemic in Indiawith special emphasis on COVID 19. The present emergency situation globally is an alarm to the scientist and researchers working in the field of the health care services and medical sciences especially in context to the nation like India to exploit the technology as a safety measures in this crisis situation. The present paper also includes the mathematical and simulation study on the pandemics spread across the globe with special reference to COVID 19. Therefore the current review summarizes the epidemic and pandemic spread in India in the past with special reference to novel COVID-19 and its technological aspects.
