For improving the safety and security of maritime personnel, the rescue terminal based on the short message of the Beidou is designed and realized. The terminal uses ST-M32F103RBT6 as the control processing unit and obtains the latest information of distress personnel through the Beidou short message module GN51, and then converting original information into AIS information and Beidou short message information, and finally through the VHF maritime mobile spectrum and the Beidou satellite to send help information. The terminal enables shore-based control center to know people in distress in the first time and thus to saving time and greatly improving the efficiency of search and rescue.
