Effects of e-commerce development level of countries along ‘The belt and road’ on international trade

Abstract

In this thesis, according to the Gravity Model, the author builds a model for measuring the E-commerce development level of countries along the Route of ‘The Belt and Road’ to China’s foreign trade effect. The author collects the panel date of 24 countries from 2007 to 2016 and carries out the empirical analysis in different groups in according with ECD. The following conclusions are got: The trade countries’ E-commerce development level has a remarkable and positive pull-up effect to China’s export and its positive effect to import is not remarkable. However, the countries with low E-commerce development level have the most remarkable effect to China’s export trade expansion.
