Optimization of evaluation indexes of competitiveness of science technology and innovation based on quantitative approach

Abstract

Traditional approach to select the evaluation indexes of Competitiveness of Science Technology and Innovation (CSTI) is usually based on the experience and general principles, which usually leads to heavy workload and wrong results. In this paper, we use mathematical model to substitute the traditional approach. The new approach greatly reduces the number of evaluation indexes from16 to 4, and lays a good foundation to evaluate the regional CSTI .
