Evaluation of development efficiency of Ningbo port logistics and its synergy with urban economy

Abstract

Port logistics and hinterland economic development are closely related. This paper comprehensively evaluates the development efficiency of Ningbo port logistics and its synergies with the urban economy from 2000 to 2014, using the data envelopment analysis and gray relational analysis method. The results indicate that Ningbo port logistics has high development efficiency, while the efficiency of input and output is not high in some years. Meanwhile, the synergy is high with the urban economic development, and the evolution of the correlation effect is fluctuating. The above conclusions provide theoretical support and practical guidance for enhancing Ningbo port logistics and its synergy with urban economy.
