Contour tracking algorithm for dynamic image of basketball shooting arm

Pages 299-304 | Received 01 Dec 2017, Published online: 20 Apr 2018

Abstract

The traditional contour tracking algorithm for dynamic image of basketball shooting arm has ambiguous targets, poor stability and long consuming time. A tracking algorithm based on iterative convergence of dynamic contour is proposed. The tracked motion curve of shooting arm is utilized to determine the target. The effective stiffness matrix is obtained by the initial calculation, and the characteristic curve is acquired by using iterative calculation. Then, system image energy minimization is applied to converge dynamic contour to the target contour. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm has higher stability, clear targets, and short consuming time, compared to the traditional algorithm.
